The Velocità Airship is a fast, robust, manoeuvrable and fun airship.

Whether you're a curious newcomer, a hobbyist, student, researcher or a seasoned racing veteran, this airship is suitable for you.

In 2022 and 2023, the FAI F7B German Open race was won by a Velocità. The winning ship in the 2022 F7B regatta in India was also a Velocità.

Product Information

This kit contains all the parts needed for a complete Velocità airship, including 3 envelopes. Detailed instructions are included and if you need guidance during your build, Windreiter is always happy for you to contact us.
You will need the following to build this kit:

Rasp
Sandpaper
Knife
Small phillips head screwdriver
Glue for Foam/Wood (Ponal or UHU Por works well)
Glue for plastic (Superglue)
Small clamps eg. hair dresser clips
Soldering equipment

Windreiter's Velocità is ultra-light. When filled with helium and adjusted with ballast, it achieves weightlessness.

Product Details

The Velocità Kit provides you with all the high-end and custom-built parts needed to bring an airship to life. Depending on your level of skill, it may take a few days to assemble, though it is possible in one day.

The airship's electric motor is powered by a rechargeable battery and it is controlled using a high-end customisable radio handset sender and receiver (all included in the kit). We also provide you with a battery charging station as part of the kit.

The Velocità perfectly fits within the rules for the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (World Air Sports Federation) F7B class of Airship Racing.
Though international competitions have been hosted in both Germany and India, 2023 will be the first year that the World Cup points system will be implemented. With the Velocità kit, the only thing between you and becoming world champion, is practice!

We aim to ship as soon as possible once your order has been received. If you lose or break a part, please don't hesitate to reach out. Also, please note that we do not provide lifting gas. We recommend using helium as a lifting gas. If you choose to use hydrogen, please handle with care.
